Little Loves | September addition

September has gone past in blur.

The first few weeks for me were all about getting myself ahead at work and getting us all organised for our holiday.

If you follow us on social media you would of seen that while this post goes live we are in sunny Cyprus enjoying a well needed family holiday.

Although, there has been lots of errands to run leading up to escaping to the sun we have still managed to fit in lots of fun.

Here are our Little Loves from September:

Sophie Kinsella has been my author this month. I started the month finishing My Not So Perfect Life and then went on to If You Love Me Surprise Me. I loved both of these books and finished them in record time. If you love Instagram you should definitely read My Not So Perfect Life, things aren’t always what they seem behind those squares.

This month I have also The Keeper of Lost Things. This has been on my read list for so long as I kept seeing it pop up across social media. Although it took me a little while to get into I ended up loving it.

My last read this month was The Other Women, which I finished in two days. I literally couldn’t put it down. If you haven’t you should definitely give it a read

Leading up to our holiday we wanted to ensure that Olivia was going to be confident in the water so most weeks we took her swimming. I was so proud watching her swim from one side of the pool to other using a noodle. Even if she was shouting ‘I can’t do it’ the whole way and telling us to hold her.

Once on holiday she had  no confidence in the water at all the first morning but by that evening she was swimming up and down the pool with the aid of her arm bands. Now I few days on I have been watching her not only swimming around but getting herself in and out of the pool.

A lot of squabbles. Olivia and her bestie are like an old married couple. I often find myself listening to them thinking is this what life would be like if Olivia had a sibling.

On a more positive night we have been spending our evenings on holiday in Square Bar situated at the bottom of the ayia Napa strip. They have fantastic live music every night.

Bikini’s, jumpsuits and and co-ords. My holiday wardrobe has been a mix of New Look, Boohoo, Primark and Next.

This month we have been getting our bake on. On several occasions we have made cakes and cooked at Olivia’s request. She loves wearing her ‘bacon’ apron and hat.

I have also been trying to change things up a bit and made some different slimming world meals this month. the crispy chill beef takeaway definitely went down well and is now one of our firm favourites.

We are having such a lovely time out in Cyprus. Enjoying lazy days on the beach or by the pool and evenings in Ayia Napa visiting our favourite places to eat followed by a cocktail or two.

But best of all is the uninterrupted family time. Sometimes its so easy to take each other for granted.
