With long summer weekends and the school holidays up on us theres plenty of fun to be had. With this collection of 13 things to do in Hertfordshire and surrounding area’s you will not be stick for things to do.

Here you will be able to find inspiration for family days out, parks to explore and farms to explore.

1. Willow’s Activity Farm

Go along and enjoy all the Willow’s Farm has to offer. Meet the farm animals, ride Tristian the Tractor, watch Peter Rabbit and his friends in the live shows and explore the adventure playground. To get the best priced tickets be sure to book online ahead of your visit.

2. Paradise Wildlife Park

There is so much fun to be had at this attraction. Not only are there lots of lovely animals to see, including snow tigers, theres a splash park, soft play and lots more.

3. Knebworth House Dino Adventure Day

Visit Knebworth house on Saturday 18th August 2018 and experience the prehistoric world of the dinosaurs at Knebworth House Dino Adventure Day. There will be a variety of dinosaur fossils on display and visitors will be able to get up close to the dinosaurs, snakes, lizards and tortoises.

4. Hatfield House and Farm Park

Visit the stunning mansion that is Hatfield House, where you can spend the day wondering around the beautiful gardens and acres of park land. Why not enjoy a picnic and visit the animals in the park farm.

5. Verulanium Park

Pack a picnic and the children’s swimming stuff for some splash park fun and enjoy a day at the park that has something for everyone. The splash park is open daily from 10am-6pm but there is also plenty more to do. Theres a play park to let of some steam, goal nets for some football fun, trampolines and an outdoor gym. As well as a lovely little cafe serving hot and cold drinks and food and of course ice-cream.

6. Woburn Safari Park

Packed with over 80 different species including lions, monkeys and giraffes enjoy the road safari and then continue your adventure on foot. There are lots of fascinating keeper talks and demonstrations that take part throughout the day.

7. Roller City

Dust of your skates and get the whole family together for some roller disco fun. These fun sessions really are for everyone. From beginners to advanced skaters, book your session online to avoid disappoint.

8. Shenley Park

Shenley Park is home of the fairy garden, have a magical walk around and see if you can spot any little fairy hiding in the trees. There is also a lovely cafe and play areas for both older and younger children.

9. Aldenham Country Park

Home of the Winnie the Pooh trail. You can play pooh sticks and explore the tree house. Whilst your there why not visit the farm and follow the nature trail around the lake.

10. Jump In Trampoline Park

Round all the family up and enjoy some trampoline fun. There is smaller area with soft play and smaller trampoline for the younger children to ensure fun for the whole family.

11. DJ Jungle

Looking for some indoor fun. DJ Jungle is a lovely little soft play with separate under 2’s area where children can run around and burn off some of their energy.

12. Westminster Lodge

Not just for swimming, there’s soft play and indoor climbing.

13. Ruislip Lido Beach and Lake

Ruislip lido is a reservoir and artificial beach within the London Borough of Hillingdon. With children’s play area’s, a splash park and mini gauge railway its the perfect place to spend the day.
